Krav MagaKrav Maga is a self-defence system developed for the military in Israel that consists of a wide combination of techniques sourced from boxing, savate, Muay Thai, Wing Chun, Judo, Jujutsu, wrestling, and grappling, along with realistic fight training. Krav Maga encourages students to avoid confrontation. If this is impossible or unsafe, it promotes finishing a fight as quickly as possible. Self defense (to us in the USKMA) is the ability to have our ‘flinch’ reaction take us from overwhelmed, terrified and uncomprehending to going forward with hatred and rage to do the most damage in the minimum amount of time as possible. Krav Maga’s techniques will not save anyone, they are not magic. We bring this out in our classes by not just learning techniques but by putting what we learn under stress and exhaustion. We run drills in our class that wear students out and push them to where most people would quit. At that point it is all heart that gets them through and heart on the street is worth more than any technique or system.
In Krav Maga Academy we train for all reality based scenarios. We don’t train to compete, we train to survive! Our academy is structured in various teaching levels, there are instructors following just the athletes with little or no experience in Krav Maga moreover we have a team of trainer following only the professionals and another team that follows the intermediate levels.

We talk about options that they have in situations, what is okay to do and what is excessive.
But it’s not just physical, the class is designed to educate without scaremongering. It makes sure the student understands potential dangers and how situations could escalate. I deal with prevention.
Training includes systematic exercises and maneuvers to improve a child’s mental and physical abilities. With Karate, students will learn discipline, focus and strength, while Krav Maga complements the training with a practical and realistic dimension.
